Get ready for the next big update in S4League – Patch 21! This patch features a whole new game mode called Battle Royal, a new shop section, new items, a new map and some really cool events! It’s getting royal… Patch 21 will be released by Tuesday, 24.08.2010.
New Game Mode
With the release of this patch, you can enjoy an entirely new game mode called Battle Royal! We bet this is just what you’ve been waiting for: In Battle Royal, a free for all Death Match mode, it’s you against the world! 12 players with equal abilities fight against each other and the best of them comes out as the King – so this is a case of dog eats dog!
Unlike in other game modes, Battle Royal allows all of you one man shows to show what you got. No teams, no clans, just you and your sword (or guns) against the rest of the room. If you, during the match, manage to be the best of the bunch, you’re marked as the king, but watch out: A player who turns down the King receives additional points (regular player hit gets you 2 points, king hit gets you 5) so they're all after you...
New Shop
The shop in S4League has got a new section many of you have been waiting for: the Coupon Shop! Here you can finally walk in to get something from the coupons you have collected during the last couple of months! Whenever you received a coupon from a Capsule or such, you have kept it in your inventory, at least we hope so. And here’s your chance to spend them like water. All the coupons you have received so far are automatically changed into coupon shop coupons you can buy stuff with. These coupons get you some unique stuff that is available at the coupon shop only, for example the Taser Sword you can see below.
New Map
Just in time to try out the new game mode Battle Royal, there will be a new map called Galleon. Here you can take a stride on board of an aircraft that resembles of a traditional Spanish galley, a both historical and futuristic feeling. Besides the dusty makeup Galleon is full of great spots for tactical close combat such as gangways, hideouts and arena.
New G’s Capsule
Finally, there’s also a G’s Capsule for all fans of sentry guns! The new G’s Capsule comes with a good chance to receive either the Sentry Gun Type-A, a sentry with black finish, or the Sentry Bee to badger your opponents with sardonic honey bees that attack them for you.
New Set
For all beginners, there is the new Beginner SET that equips you with a whole set of items: a complete costume, the three weapons Plasma Sword, Sub Machine Gun and Semi Rifle plus two skills, HP+30 and Shield - and all that at the incredibly low price of 1995 AP! The set's selection of weapons and skills suits a beginner’s needs perfectly. The Beginner SET is available in two versions, with the Western Boy SET for boys and the Honey Set for girls. The beginner sets are only available for all players up to level 5 and can only be purchased 2 times in total. What an opportunity!
New Costume Sets
Besides the Beginner SET, patch 21 features four new Costume SETs, two for boys and two for girls. There are the Pirate SET and the New Sphere SET for boys and the Fist SET and CheckShield SET for girls as you can see on the images.
Events
Of course we also have an event or two for you that start with the release of patch 21. First, there is an FTAPS event for all of you who spend AP for the first time. The FTAPS takes place with the new costume SETs. If you purchase one of the new SETs Pirate, New Sphere, Fist or CheckShield, you’ll receive a second set for free! For the purchase of a female set, you’ll receive the Kitch SET on top, and for a male set, you’ll be given the Hockey Set for free.
Besides that, there is a whole week of Double PEN and Double EXP for all matches you play in the new Battle Royal Mode, a great opportunity to collect PEN and EXP like crazy! But don’t wonder that this event is not displayed by an event sign in game, the event takes place anyway. And don’t forget that all bonus stuff takes up to 24 hours to reach you.
